Pre-Filtration — Fluoride Reduction

SIR-900 Synthetic Aluminum Oxide Media

The pre-filter stage features SIR-900, a high-grade synthetic aluminum oxide formulated to minimize fines and impurities.
SIR-900 removes fluoride through chemical adsorption, providing stable performance across a wide pH range with low pressure drop and minimal swelling or shrinkage.
It’s a durable, physically stable medium that efficiently reduces fluoride ions before water enters the chromium-removal stages.

Stage 1 & Stage 2 — Chromium-6 Removal

Strong Anion Exchange Resin

Stages 1 and 2 use a strong anion-exchange resin developed for the removal of hexavalent chromium (Cr-6) and related anions.
This high-capacity resin, supplied in chloride or hydroxide form, exchanges harmful chromium ions for harmless chloride or hydroxide ions, reducing Cr-6 concentrations to below EPA-recommended levels.

Stage 3 — KDF55 + Catalytic Carbon

Each 4-Bank Replacement Cartridge Set provides a service life of approximately 6 months or 700 gallons (≈ 2,650 liters) under typical household use.
Replace cartridges every 6 months or sooner if changes in taste, color, or flow are noticed.
After replacement, flush with 4 gallons of water before connecting to your ionizer to remove air and fine media particles.
